The Battle of Prairie Grove

The Battle of Prairie Grove is the largest regional Civil War Reenactment west of the Mississippi, hosted on the actual battlefield by the Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park. This pivotal battle in western Arkansas saw numerous charges and counter charges and protracted artillery bombardments, and eventually secured this part of the state for the Union.
